I grew up on the island of Trinidad, a very small island in the south Caribbean. My grandparents on my father's side, were indentured laborers brought to Trinidad by the British. My grandmother's boarding pass, from when they were picked up in India, sits in my office as a reminder of my family's history. 

My father never learned how to read or write. My mother taught him to sign his name and some basic math. At age 11, he dropped out of school after my grandfather passed away to help his mother take care of his siblings. At that time, his wages were just 1 shilling per fortnight, about 24 US cents in today's terms. We grew up on a farm raising animals that my father would sell to make a living. By working diligently for many years, he managed to buy his very own property and at the time of his passing in recent years, his real estate portfolio was valued at over $1Million. 

My parents were not educated themselves but they made sure all of their children received a top-level education. My goal as a parent is to ensure that my three children have access to better opportunities than I was exposed to. I have instilled in them that education is paramount and as young adults today, they have all graduated college and are forging their way in the world.

I remember vividly that once a month without fail, my mother would cook for hours. My siblings and I would then walk the streets to feed the poor and homeless. I have always wanted to continue my mother's work of feeding the underprivileged. The legacy that I would like to leave behind is a system or process in place for others to follow that helps people with easy access to food and housing.

When COVID hit us all in 2019…

I immediately saw how difficult it was to acquire much needed products. That’s when we began searching for a solution. 

The identified problem was that buyers were getting swindled by fake suppliers, and suppliers were not prepared to deliver goods without payment. The difficulty experienced with obtaining products and verifying the finance required is what brought me to the Crypto economy. The security that blockchain technology provides for both buyers and sellers was the key factor. However, there was one more hurdle. How would we integrate this security into the traditional business model? 

ACE Inc. looked at almost 20,000 projects in the Crypto space and we did not find a single project with this model. This solidified the decision to pioneer ACEToken and create solutions for everyone. Hence, the birth of ACEToken…

ACEToken can: 

• secure production contracts with manufacturers by describing how we can guarantee the products with ACEToken. 

• be used as collateral to issue documentary letters of credit. After discussions with banks to use the market capitalization of the ACEToken, this means suppliers can have a sense of security and ship their products freely. 

• eliminate the intermediary and broker chains involved in the procurement process. This puts buyers in direct contact with the manufacturers and backs the transaction with ACETokens. 

The reason ACE Inc. did not seek financial backing for this venture is that we didn’t want ACEToken to be corporately governed. We do not want 1 Investor to get involved with $100Million. We want 1 Million Community members to get involved with $100.

By bringing the ACEToken to life, I not only accomplish my goal of leaving a legacy for my children and generations to follow but I can rest easy knowing I have created that path for effecting change, educating others, and promoting a better life for the wider community.

Growing up in South Africa, one of the most unequal societies in the world, I have been witness to a government that does nothing for entire communities of people. Everyday, I still see people who are without a glimmer of hope for improving their lives or the lives of their children. I would like to be a catalyst for changing the landscape for not only my children but all children in my wider Community. 

I believe that ACEToken can shift the way people think, so they can be empowered to change their own circumstances.

Cryptocurrency is open to everyone.

There are no barriers to entry. 

There are no limits to what can be achieved. 

The Crypto space provides freedom from the traditional finance structures. ACEToken will provide freedom of choice for my communities and many communities globally.

While we all wish to leave footprints in the sands of time, I strongly believe that we must make sure they point in a commendable direction. That is the defining reason that I entered the Cryptocurrency world and co-founded ACEToken. I truly believe it will make a difference, leaving that legacy that will support and continue benefiting people of the global community. That is all that matters to me in the end.

If anything, I would like to be remembered by my son as a person of courage, confidence and self motivation. A man not dictated to by others but who forged his own path and followed his dreams.

I see myself and the Team ACE as relay runners. We have taken the baton and we are steadfast in running our leg of the race. When our time comes and our part in the race is run, we will pass the baton to someone else to continue on what we have already built. 

Each generation tries to make progress, knowing that what we do is not going to be perfect or absolute. Our hope is at the end of the race, we have run our leg effectively; that we have enriched the world, not taken away from it.
